Getting out of a lesson: ‘hermana you look terrible today…’ -hermana Gavito to me // week 68

9:03 PM

THIS IS GOING TO BE SHORT. At least short in Hermana Olivas' mind...
Monday was a very chill pday. Got to take a nap. #HALLELUJAH and then had a lesson with Matty in the evening. She is so great!
Tuesday we drove down to SLC (trip #1) for a song practice as a zone. Got home and took a nap because i felt TERRIBLE. Had enchiladas for dinner, Hermana Lopez's son los mejores. And had some good lessons in the evening.
Wednesday was SO MUCH FUN. We went to waffle love in the morning as hermanas before our Christmas party. Then we all headed to the Christmas party that we had with the Farmington and Kaysville Zones. It was SO MUCH FUN. Our zone sang a song in Spanish for everyone it went well. Then we had a talent show. And oh my goodness we were all in tears from laughing so hard. It was so much fun. We concluded the talent show by having our district sing Feliz Navidad and the whole crowd joined in. It was a blast.
Thursday Matty passed her baptismal interview in the evening! She is so great!
Friday we had district meeting (trip to SLC #2) and it was good. In the evening i survived my first dinner that was in all Portuguese. It was really col. I actually was able to understand most of it. And then in the evening we had a lesson with a less active member and we made alfajores and we ended up getting an investigator dropped in our laps because some missionaries from another mission were teaching someone we were supposed to teach.
Saturday was AMAZING. We had Matty's baptism in the morning and after she shared her testimony with everyone and was crying. She is so sensitive to the spirit and such a choice daughter of God. After that wonderful morning we were able to go to the Luz de Las Naciones in the evening and enjoy a wonderful cultural event with dances and songs. It was great. And cold
Sunday we went to a concert in the evening with Janice and enjoyed some wonderful Christmas songs.
Okay sorry this was not very detailed. We are at a zone pday and I have to be social with other missionaries and practice my spanish... I hope you all have a wonderful week. Merry Christmas. I hope you all remember the true reason behind this season. Lets all put more Christ in Christmas. Love you all!
