#LEGENDARY // week 34
10:37 AM
HOOOOLLLLLLAAAAAA!!! How are all of you doing? I hope you
had a great Mothers Day. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful women
in my life and all they have done for me, my aunts, grandmas, cousins,
church leaders, and of course my beautiful mom. So grateful for all of
you and your examples to me.
This week was good. We had a super fun Pday activity. We had a
BBQ and then we played baseball. I'm pretty bad at baseball but not as
bad as some other sports. It was super fun. These elders though they are
intense, basically all of them made home runs. It was super fun though
and a great last pday activity. Let's just say it was LEGENDARY.
We were able to move apartments on Tuesday. It was a quick
move, but our apartment is much smaller. Luckily we were able to bring
our couch. I like it though. It's super nice. We live above members so
we can use their wifi, which is a blessing. But later that day and the
next day we were super sore because we live on the second floor.
This week we have listened to many stories from people. Let's
just say that we felt like counselors and not missionaries. But we were
able to testify of the love of God and that we know that if we trust in
God, all will work out. It may not be in the way we want it to be but it
will work out in the way it needs to be.
Wednesday we were able to have Pupusas. And it was DELICIOUS!!!
I love pupusas and I need to find an authentic El Salvadorian place in
Vegas so I can enjoy this blessed food despues de la mision.
It was funny in one of our lessons this week the fire alarm was
going off, and the lady didn't do anything about it. The house was
smoky because the food she was cooking was burning or something and so
we just sat in the house with the fire alarm on and continued on with
the lesson.
We also sang in sacrament meeting on Sunday, long story short, I
am NEVER singing in sacrament meeting again. Elder Connor played the
piano for us and we sang a duet to a primary song. It wasnt terrible, it
was actually good, but I hate singing in front of people especially
when I sing in small groups. So I am not doing that again. It was in
Spanish though so that's good.
And then of course on Sunday we were able to skype our families
and that was great. Kind of weird seeing everyone and seeing them
change but it was good. I was also able to talk to Hermana Ribucan's
family as well when she skyped them, and her youngest brother made us
cry! He's so cute. After dinner we were able to say hello to the
Bocanegras daughter when they skyped her. It was interesting listening
to a skype call in Spanish.
I
really don't know what else to say. This week went by super
fast and transfers are this week. And I am going to Kaysville to be with
Hermana Thetford. I'm nervous to be going to Davis County because its
super different than Salt Lake. Its very nice and not ghetto. so we
shall see if i will have fun adventures without my ghetto. But i know
that everything is supposed to happen for a reason. I love this gospel. I
am so grateful for the
knowledge that we have that we are going to live together as families
again one day. I am grateful for my mother and her example to me. I know
that it's not easy to be a mom, not that I'm a mom or anything, but my
mom did a wonderful job raising me and my sister. I know we have
Heavenly Parents that love us and look out for us. I love you all and I
hope you all have a great week! Keep up the great work and read these
talks about mothers/motherhood! The links are below:
